Where were you in the beginning when the stars in heaven were made?
When God balanced the galaxies and the universe was laid,
Where were you? You were there when the stars began to shine,
And the morning stars sang together to glorify God’s great design!

At the dawn of creation God formed his wonderful plan,
To include His vast universe and His image man.
When light shined in darkness before unending day,
Life, Truth, and Love shown like stars to light the Way.
And the sons of God shouted for joy as they saw and heard,
The morning stars sing together God’s eternal Word.

Where were you when earth’s foundation was laid?
When God formed lakes and seas?
When God gave each creature its own special melody? You were there!
You were there, you were there when God made mountains and trees
When the morning stars sang together creation’s harmonies!
You were there!

You were in the Mind of God, the image of His Love,
You are His purpose, perfection from above.
It is God who has made us as, as He made everything,
So give to God the glory when you hear the morning stars sing.

And the morning stars sang together, Yes, the morning stars sang together.
O, the morning stars sang together to glorify God’s great design!
